We’re proud to share the results from our most recent patient satisfaction survey. Your feedback helps us grow, improve, and continue to deliver the highest standard of care. Here’s a snapshot of how we’re doing and where we’re heading next.

Why We Survey Our Patients

At Peregian Beach Medical, we believe the best care starts with listening. That’s why we regularly invite our patients to take part in confidential surveys, giving us honest feedback about their experience with our clinic, team, and services.

These surveys are conducted in line with RACGP Standards for General Practice and help ensure we remain accountable and patient-focused.

Our latest patient survey was taken between June and September 2024.

Previous patient surveys were taken: June to August 2020, and June to December 2022.

What You Told Us – Key Highlights

In 2022, our patients told us that satisfaction had declined in the areas of:

  • appointment availability
  • time available with a doctor
  • the cost of seeing a doctor.

We undertook to work on improving these areas in 2023-2024 through significant investment in attracting new or replacement doctors, diversifying the roles of our Practice Nurses, and participating in advocacy for better funding from Government in relation to primary care provision and increasing the Medicare rebates. In addition, we provided new online services for repeat scripts and repeat referrals enabling more appointments to be freed up each day.

What We’re Doing Well

Based on your feedback, we are pleased to report that we have seen improvement in patient satisfaction in all of the highlighted areas above. In the majority of indicators, our patients have rated us in the mid to high 90th percentile.

We will continue to monitor our patient to doctor ratios to ensure you can see your doctor within acceptable timeframes, and we will continue to open and close doctors’ appointment books to new patients as required. We will also continue to monitor the cost of seeing a doctor, to ensure the best balance between quality of care and affordability.

Areas for Continued Improvement

We’re always looking for ways to do better. While the feedback was overwhelmingly positive, here are some areas we’re actively working on:

  • Reducing wait times during busy periods

  • Improving appointment availability by reviewing schedules

  • Enhancing communication around follow-up test results and procedures
