Richard completed both his Undergraduate Science degree (2004) and Postgraduate Medical degree (2009) at the University of Queensland.
After completing a wide variety of Hospital rotations as a Medical Officer, Richard completed his Specialist General Practice training in 2016 and was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
Further to this, to facilitate the next generation of high-quality General Practitioners, Richard is a current GP Registrar Supervisor with the RACGP.
Richard enjoys consulting across the full breadth of Primary care, and he is a strong advocate of the value to the individual, and the community, for high-quality Primary care. Along with other General Practitioners at PFMC, he contributes to Primary Care research with the University of Queensland.
Richard is currently a Director of the Australian General Practice Alliance (AGPA), a group that represents GP owned General Practices, along with the AMA & RACGP, to advocate for independent and financially viable General Practice in Australia.
Richard is a Peregian local and spends most of his spare time on various adventures with his two young children, with the occasional surf.
